About the Survey

Welcome to the project web site for the Southwest Ohio Local Government Wage and Benefit Survey!

The 2011 Survey Instrument was mailed out during the week of September 19th.

The deadline to respond to the survey has been extended until November 11, 2011.

Beginning with 2010, hard copy final reports of the survey results are no longer being produced. Electronic PDF versions of the final reports are available for 2010. Please click on the appropriate final report for download:

More  information about the survey including survey downloads and instructions for responding to the survey using a downloadable Microsoft Excel spreadsheet file can be found here.

The Center conducts an annual survey on public sector wages and benefits in Southwest Ohio. The Center collects and maintains a database on municipal wages, salaries, and benefits and prepares reports on various public employee compensation issues.  All cities and villages in a ten county area (Butler, Warren, Montgomery, Clark, Greene, Darke, Preble, Shelby, Miami, and Clermont Counties) as well as selected townships from across the state are surveyed.

The survey is conducted in the fall of each year, and the results and a final report are sent to those who have responded to the survey.  The raw data is posted online on our data server (see the navigation bar on the left side of this page). 2011 is the sixteenth year of the survey.

For more information about the survey, please contact the CPMRA.

Disclaimer:  The data reported by the annual survey is self-reported by the participating local governments.  Every effort is made to ensure that the data does not contain errors or omissions. Errors and omissions are corrected as local governments report them.
